The Best Organic Concealer for Dark Spots & Melasma, and Other RMS Beauty Daily Essentials

Pictures and Reviews of RMS Beauty Un Cover Up #11 is my favorite effective organic concealer for my dark spots and melasma. I lalso love RMS Beauty Magic Luminizer (better than Living Luminizer) and RMS Beauty Raw Coconut Cream.

My first introduction to RMS beauty was their living luminizer a few years ago, and now I’m into most of their products! Besides being beautiful they are very nourishing and contain organic ingredients.

RMS Beauty Un-Cover Up 11 Review – A Paraben Free & Organic Concealer or Cream Foundation for Melasma, Dark Spots and Hyperpigmentation

I had been wanting to find a great organic concealer but RMS beauty wasn’t available in stores near where I live. On a trip to Portland almost 2 years ago, I was finally able to sample all of the shades and RMS Beauty Un-Cover Up 11 has been my go-to concealer ever since.

It’s not the most long-lasting concealer (not quite like Cover FX), but it blends like a dream, is unscented and is very moisturizing with coconut oil and cocoa butter. I use this every day – under my eyes, on my cheek dark spots, to cover my melasma mustache etc. I normally apply it over primer, before foundation, but sometimes I apply it afterwards. I keep one of these handy glass pots of wonder at my bathroom vanity and in my purse so I can retouch on the go. This organic concealer formula melts effortlessly into my skin, anywhere, anytime of day.

I don’t often use it as a foundation, mostly because the glass pot is so small and I would have to use a brush to apply it as foundation (and most day’s I’m too lazy to use a foundation brush).

RMS Beauty Living Luminizer and Magic Luminzer Reviews

So I used RMS beauty’s living luminizer for a while, but mostly as dose of extra moisturizer and brightening underneath my eyes. Sometimes my eyes get very dry (especially depending on how irritating my other makeup is for my skin) so I always keep this shimmer pot in my purse for a quick under-eye pick me up.

As a highlighter, this cooler tone of the Living Luminzer just doesn’t work for me. I love my Maya Chia the super couple brightening serum, so I was excited to try the Maya Chia Highlight of the Day serum in The Happy Hour. But like the RMS Beauty Living Luminizer, it’s a cool tone that doesn’t compliment my skin. The Maya Chia Highlight of the Day is also too scented / essential oil-y for me and let’s face it, liquid highlighters take a bit of skill and patience that I just don’t have right now.

I bought the warmer-toned RMS Beauty Magic Luminizer last year and have been so in love. Thank you Rose Marie Swift! This is the perfect formula highlighter for me that can easily be applied with my fingers to highlight my round facial features. I’ve been toying with the idea of trying the Master Mixer, but it seems like a pretty similar color and product composition, so I figured if I want to my other makeup products glisten, I can just mix them with the Magic Luminizer instead.

RMS BeautyRaw Coconut Cream Review

Who would buy only 2.5oz of coconut oil for $18 when they could buy a much larger batch of organic coconut oil from most grocery stores? This gal! To be fair, I bought it on sale. And….it is of much better quality than any coconut oils I have tried for my skin. I mostly use it as a makeup remover – this raw organic coconut cream removes even the most stubborn or waterproof eye makeup. It’s more effective and convenient then most cleansing face oils I’ve tried.

RMS Beauty also suggests you can use it as a deodorant? That’s pretty risky if you ask me – I’m skeptical after all of the natural deodorants I’ve tried, although some of my favorites do contain coconut oil.

I still have quite a few more favorite RMS beauty products to review in later posts, but I did want to share some high quality organic products from the RMS line that were beautiful, but not quite effective.

RMS Beauty Magnetic Eye Polish Review

I sooooooooooo wanted to love this. It is such a beautiful color that reminds me of many of my favorite Urban Decay Naked Palette eyeshadows. I thought I had hit the jackpot when I found this Magnetic color organic cream eyeshadow – a talc free organic version of my favorite Urban Decay deep brown shadows? Sweet! However: this is the least long lasting eyeshadow or makeup product I have ever tried. No matter how many primers or application types I used, this eye polish didn’t last longer than 10 minutes.

RMS Beauty – Beauty Oil Review

There is a time and place for vanilla. And that is in the kitchen in delicious cookies or cakes. I adored the oil composition of this organic face oil, but the vanilla extra just kills all joy for this beauty oil. This is a prime example of organic products not automatically being suitable for sensitive skin and those of us who are ultra-sensitive to scents. This oil is so luxurious, but like Tata Harper Organic Nourishing Oil Cleanser, I couldn’t use this product at night and expect to fall asleep shortly after. “Natural” scent and extracts can be very long lasting – and for some of us, nauseating and stressful.

The star ingredient in the RMS Beauty Oil is buriti, which they claim is an excellent UV absorber. While this oil didn’t work out for me, I will certainly be on the lookout for other unscented beauty oils with buriti oil.
