Vapour Organic Beauty Foundation and New Vapour AER Natural Deodorant Review

Review and swatches of Vapour Organic Beauty new AER deodorant, luminous foundation, mesmerize eye color and lipsticks. I'm always looking for the best natural makeup and organic foundation to help conceal my melasma.

Long overdue post on Vapour Organic Beauty! This is an awesome green and eco beauty brand – they use wind power and ingredients are biodegradable.

Atmosphere Luminous Foundation Review

I had high hopes for this luxury makeup and skin care brand’s higher coverage foundation and in a precision stick form. The formula has a nice finish and is fairly buildable – from the samples I received I chose #115 to buy. I’ll partially support their “luminous” claim but wish it had more coverage for my melasma, dark spots and vitiligo.

But here’s the issue: Organic does not equal non-irritating. And something Vapour uses in all of their products irritates my skin and respiratory system

Pros: Vapour customer service was super helpful. They suggested a few ways I could ease into usage to prevent breakouts. Everyone seems to love this brand (it’s an Allure best of beauty winner) so this is really a me issue not a Vapour issue. I’ve read a few of us out there find the inherent aroma of the ingredients strong and the formula breaks us out, but by and large most everyone loves it.

Cons: Coverage isn’t as strong or long lasting as I need. And I still can’t figure out which ingredient is super irritating for me 🙁 Maybe it’s their elemi? Or use of Myrhh?

Mesmerize Radiant Eye Color in Dusk and Seduce

The colors here are phenomenal. I love to try organic eyeshadows and appreciate a cream form. However staying power is a top priority for me and much like RMS beauty eye polish, this formula falls short on staying power as well. It losts longer than RMS eye polish for sure, but still not quite worth the $ if you find shadow doesn’t stay on your eyelids.

The mystery very earthy ingredient that bugs a bit in the foundations is also in the eyeshadow too. I just really don’t want my eyeshadow to have a scent.

Vapour AER Organic Deodorant Review

This might be my 50th natural deodorant…i’m losing track! (here are all of my aluminum free natural deodorant reviews). I tried the Ginger Grapefruit formula and I’m pretty impressed! It’s the same texture as conventional deodorants which puts it into a very different category than the other deodorants I’ve tried. Baking soda and arrowroot powder keep you dry while coconut oil soothes. And it’s not too beeswaxy! The scent was fairly subtle. For performance, it did a great job…even handles stress sweat pretty well. I think Noniko skin deodorant is still my favorite but this is in my top 5 now for sure.

Vapour Siren Organic Lipstick Review

Vapour’s sample experience rocks! I was able to try the lipstick colors and foundations to find just the right fit. I went with Chere

Vapour’s siren lipsticks are an excellent organic lipstick with fairly strong staying power. The shade choice is great but once again, a bit too earthy smelling. My best guess is still the Myrhh. The lipstick is probably the least earthy fragrant out of all the makeup however.

Vapour Atmosphere Soft Focus Foundation Review

It might sound decadent but yes I did buy both types of foundation at the same time. I’m always trying new foundations and I figured I would use them both or mix them anyway. I knew the Soft Focus foundation would be less pigmented than the luminous foundation stick, but the coverage was more lack luster than I originally thought from my samples. I chose a similar shade, #s115

If you have very little pigmentation or acne to cover then this would be a great clean beauty organic foundation for you. But if you are looking for any type of real coverage, this won’t work.

The color selection is pretty good though and they just updated their packaging to glass instead of plastic.

Vapour Organic Stratus Luminous Skin Perfecting Primer Review

Last but not least I also tried their Stratus Luminous skin perfecting primer in 904 – the pinky color. Unfortunately this had the most offending earthy scent out of all the bunch and had to return it. The texture wasn’t bad…I’m still on the hunt for my favorite primers and this one did not make the cut, even if it wasn’t stinky.

Vapour organic beauty is definitely worth a try but be sure to get samples from your local beauty shop or Vapourbeauty.com!
